Heat Pumps - By definition, a heat pump
is a machine which moves heat. Heat exists in all air at all temperatures down to
"absolute zero" (-460º F). In the winter, a heat pump draws heat from the outdoor
air and circulates it through ducts into your home. During the summer, it reverses
the process and draws heat from your interior air and releases it outdoors. It also
dehumidifies the indoor air as it cools it. Because a heat pump
does not burn fuel, it is safer and cleaner to run than gas fired equipment. Heat
pumps are more efficient and cost less to run than electric furnaces.
Radiant Heat - Ordinary heating systems rely on air circulation to distribute heat. Because hot air rises, the warmth migrates and accumulates near the ceiling, causing forced air systems to work overtime to heat the occupied space. Radiant floor heat is more like the sun. It directly warms people and objects, with the warmth staying in your living space. It's provide the ultimate
comfort while reducing heating bills.
Steam Heat - Steam heat is one of the most comfortable types of heat you can have. With a properly operating steam heating system you get warm consistent heat and humidification. Unfortunately, very few contractors have a thorough understanding of their operation. Here at Ryan,
